A view of Argyle Street taken from the harbour looking east. Large Shell Oil Co. tanks stand to the left. Vancouver Island Coachlines building is visible beyond the Shell office building and, beyond that, is the Somass Hotel. On the corner going down to Gregories wharf is the Henry Company's store, owned by a kind Chinese gentleman. Across from the store is the Argyle Machine Shop. City buildings are visible in the mid ground. |
