Description |
The foot of Argyle Street area as seen from across the Alberni Inlet. Written at the bottom of the card is "Port Alberni V.I., B.C." Also shows Mount Arrowsmith in the background. |
History |
PN 6900 is stamped "Alberni Valley Series No. 12"; PN 6901 is listed as no. 21. Although the postcards were hand coloured and published by "The Camera Products Co." of Vancouver, the images were those of Joseph Clegg. These two are part of a series, also including PN 6902-04. PN 6902 is printed with a credit to the "Clegg Studio". A handwritten notation on the back of PN 6901 ascribes it to between 1918 and 1920. Probably dated by ADHS. |
