View of the A.P.L. Mill looking north from the main mill buildings over the sorting table and planing mill to the foot of Argyle Street in the distance. The large shed-like building at right is the planing mill. Beyond that, on the right, is the Alberni Pacific Lumber Co. boarding house on South St. "Hayes Point" is the rocky promontory to the left. In the middle distance is the Dominion Government Assembly Wharf where a freighter is docked. There are patches of conifers to the right. At the distant far right some of the houses and townsites are discernible. Hand-printed on bottom of image in white ink: "A.P.L. MILL. PORT ALBERNI. V.I." Also printed on the back of the card: "PUBLISHED BY THE GOWEN, SUTTON CO. LTD. , VANCOUVER, B.C." |
