Construction of a railway bridge over the Englishman River. The river runs across the lower portion of the photo, with the wood trestle bridge extending away from the viewer on the far side of the river. Large concrete(?) piers rise on both banks. Two workmen can be seen on the trestle portion of the unfinished bridge, and three working on near bank in the lower right corner of the photo. Trees on the far bank extend from the right side to the top of the photo. A number of stumps in the foreground. Written in white: "ENGLISHMANS RIVER,". Stamped on back of photo: "Photo by Leonard Frank, Alberni, B.C."
